Exam Design

The midterm examination consists of fifty multiple-choice questions, twenty matching items, and two short answers. The same percentage grading scale will be used for the midterm exam as for the assignments. The grade on the midterm comprises 25 percent of the total course grade.

The final examination has the same format as the midterm. The grade on the final exam comprises 25 percent of your course grade.

The time allotted for each exam is two hours. You will not be permitted to use your textbook, study notes, or any other supplementary material during either exam. You will be allowed to use a calculator during both exams.

To comply with the IU High School Program’s academic policies, your exam grades must average at least a D– (60 percent) for you to pass the course. Even if your assignment grades are excellent, you will not pass the course unless you fulfill this requirement.
